Our Program/Services
Our goal is to teach all students the knowledge and skills they need to be successful throughout their entire school career and even in their future endeavors as our next generation of leaders.
In order to meet the needs of all students we provide school wide activities to ensure the positive development of all students academically, social/emotionally, and for their college/career readiness.
Classroom Counseling Lessons
(Social-Emotional Learning - SEL)
As a school counselor, we provide in-class instruction to all students. Topics presented fall within the three ASCA domains of Academic, Social-Emotional, and College/Career.
Group Counseling
Some topics are presented in small groups for a few weeks to ensure that our students gain the skills they need to be academically successful. Some groups may focus on social skills, calming down strategies to use when angry or anxious, how to stay organized, how to make and keep friends, how to communicate feelings, etc.
Individual Counseling
Based on student needs, as school counselors, we provide one-on-one counseling for academic needs, social-emotional needs, and college/career readiness.
Confidentiality
School Counselors are committed to creating a safe and confidential environment for all students. What is shared in counseling sessions will be kept private, except in certain circumstances where confidentiality is required to be broken by law or ethical guidelines. Limits of confidentiality include safety concerns, abuse or neglect, or legal requirements.
